Prayer Box Necklace

$647.00

1 in stock

This is a unique antique prayer/wish box from the Ottoman Empire, dating back to 1909-1918. It was used to store letters for loved ones or a place for dreams. This piece bears the mark of the Sultan stamp on the back and the coins. You will find more information under craftmanship.

It is ornately encased in silver and features handmade glass beads of green and red, golden filagree, coral beads, and matching Sultan-stamped coins.

The energetic history details a young Mongolian woman wearing this piece. It has many secrets that it does not want to reveal to keep the prayers and wishes sacred. The pendant will hold your desires the same way. I love the fact that this piece will not give up any secrets. One could say it is heavenly blessed.

I did not polish this piece as I felt it was up to the new owner to decide how it should be presented. Many collectors prefer their pieces to remain original with the wear of time. The chain is not original to the pendant.

I would consider this a collector’s piece.

**All vintage/antique pieces are final sale, and the price reflects the condition and age of the piece.
